Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor contributes to the success of the PepsiCo Beverages Canada by overseeing the preventative maintenance and repair of plant equipment to ensure uninterrupted day to day operations. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for developing trained and capable front line union employees. ​

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Applies theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of operations, repair procedures, trouble shooting and preventative maintenance to support facility equipment reliability
  • Oversees and maintains production line (filling, coding and conveying)
  • Oversees and maintains support equipment including air compressors, water treatment, refrigeration, hydraulics, electrical, boilers and sanitation
  • Sets front-line performance standards providing coaching and feedback to build capability and improve performance
  • Leads TPM implementation of PM Phase 1 pillar assigned such as work order management, BDA, or spare parts management


Required experience:

Maintenance: 8 years

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Engineering or Technology Program


  • Millwright, and/or Electrician’s license


  • Fully computer literate
  • Five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment particularly in high-speed packaging, food processing experience an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical equipment
  • Experience working in a unionized environment
  • Strong planning, analytical, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead meeting with hourly employees
  • Excellent Leadership skills
  • Knowledge of all Labour and Health & Safety Regulations
