Job Position:  3D Graphics Tool Developer (18-month Contract)

Job Title: Software Engineer (New Grad – Junior)

About the Team:

The AMD Software Tools team is tasked with creating and supporting multiple test applications which target all aspects of software development for AMD graphics products on PC platforms. Software engineers on the team apply industrial leading technologies and system programming C++ skills in both Windows and Linux environment.

Main Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:

  • To participate in C++ code development of a Direct3D/Vulkan/OpenGL/OpenCL tool for video games
  • To triage user reported issues against the tool
  • Improving tool quality by manually testing the tool with state-of-art games
  • Maintaining and enhancing Jenkins based test automation
  • Responsible for timely delivery of tasks assigned by team lead or manager
  • Adhering to team’s development process and coding standards
  • Writing test reports and user guides

Required Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

  • College diploma or University degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of C++ programming experience
  • Experienced with scripting languages such as Python
  • Experienced with PC system setup and troubleshooting
  • Very strong aptitude for problem solving
  • Ability to organize and manage priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Works effectively both independently and in a team environment


  • Experienced in Direct3D/OpenGL/OpenCL/Vulkan programming, or taken Computer Graphics courses
  • Previous experience in software test automation with Jenkins and Python
